AI Strategy

Here's an easy framework to understand how AI can transform your workflow:
SEARCH: Use AI to research topics more deeply than Google allows, pulling from research papers, blogs, and videos to build comprehensive background knowledge
LEARN: Feed AI your notes, blood work and health data, or complex concepts to get personalized explanations that match your learning style
CREATE: Leverage AI for brainstorming ideas, fixing scripts, automating tedious tasks, and enhancing your creative output
Here are some examples of how I’m using these in my workflow.
Search was the main way that I started using ChatGPT. I would think of a question that I typically would Google and instead I would go to ChatGPT.
Now when I come up with a video idea, I will go to ChatGPT, Grok and Perplexity and type the idea into deep research and see what comes up.
I have a dedicated research note for my video that I will link to the main note while I work on my talking points and script, the source material and AI results go here.
All of this extra searching has me more curious than ever to learn new things.
Tools like Claude Code or Cursor can turn code illiterate people like me into mostly capable for simple tasks and writing simple scripts to automate tasks.
I used AI to hel me create and run a nightly backup of my editing hard drive to my local Raid, then weekly backup the Raid to my NAS. This would have taken me way longer than I’d like to admit if I were to have done it myself.
Lastly doing more. Claude, Gemini and Auren are like business partners to me. I can bounce ideas, do creative brainstorming, review my scripts and talking points to make them flow more seamlessly.
It is like having a small creative team, at a fraction of the price, as I try to keep my costs low and produce content consistently until profits allow for expansion.
Just remember, these tools won’t give you all the answers but can get you a more clear picture of an idea that you’ve already had and help you to flesh it out faster to get from start to finish more quickly. Check out the full video on my YouTube for an in depth look.
Airpods Max get lossless playback
But why is it so frustrating to update Airpods Firmware?
This little USB-C cable lets you now use Airpods Max in wired mode. Apparently though, lossless is enabled via USB-C to USB-C, which was incredibly unclear in this announcement.

That and you have to have iOS18.4, take your Airpods out of the case, pair them with the phone, plug them into a charger…then wait up to 30 minutes.
Seriously, this is the update procedure from Apple’s official website. Sometimes they try to make things so idiot proof that is is extremely frustrating.
Creator Heartbeat
I tried Bear Notes, is it sticking around?
After testing it out for an Apple Shortcuts video that I’m working on, I kind of fell in love with the simplicity of Bear notes.
There are a few things that I wish it had like:
Ability to pin the table of contents to the right hand side
Better link/backlink visibility like obsidian
Linked block quotes like obsidian
Overall though it kind of feels like a markdown version of Apple Notes. I mean that in the nicest way possible. I love apple notes. It is basically how I run my life.
Sometimes, like this newsletter for instance, writing in markdown is just way easier.
Being able to have an app that supports Shortcuts, links with Apple Reminders easily and syncs quickly are the main positives.
The downside is there is a subscription, and I understand some of the things I wish they would add, like a right hand slide over view, have also been requested by power users for many years and the developers have stubbornly said “no”.
Sort of unique to bear is their nested tagging system, which makes getting notes to the right place a breeze in shortcuts. They function similar to smart folders in Apple Notes.
As I write this, my free trial is up and I am left scratching my head. Do I really need another Notes app? Especially one that relies on a subscription model?
I haven’t yet made up my mind.
Content Radar
I’m running the risk of sounding like a Colin and Samir fanboy here. You caught me. I am.
I obviously have a vested interest in YouTube as a platform and YouTube strategy. So when I saw Paddy Galloway was on Colin and Samir recently, I just had to click.
Paddy is a self-proclaimed “view maximizer” and has worked with some of the worlds biggest creators and brands, names like Mr. Beast and Red Bull.
I’m actually working through Colin and Samir’s video course, the Content Playbook, so this episode has fitting commentary on some of the strategies that they are teaching. You don’t want to miss this episode.
